Hello, I am getting ready to instal Vista Beta 2 on my Dell Dimension. It is an older model but I have upgraded quite frequently. I ran the Vista Upgrade Advisor and it tells me that my Santa Cruz sound card, Lexmark Printer x125 and CNet PRO200WL PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter may not work correctly with Vista. Has anyone have any luck with these devices? I am really concerned about this. My sound card is still a great 5.1 sound card and my printer I just got at Christmas. I was planning on buying Vista when it came out for release when I realized that my computer could run it but I do not think it is worth buying a new Sound Card, new Printer, and New Network Card for. Anyways I was just currious hope you can help.

Beta Questions
A few different posts from people regarding the TurtleBeach card had mixed results. Try searching the forum for those.
It seems the printer companies are slow to provide the drivers, but I would think that HP, Cannon, Lexmark et al would have the drivers ready for the official RTM of Vista for their newer products. However, that's just my opinion.
As to the NIC, I didn't even know CNet was rebranding products; perhaps, dig a little deeper into that one and find out who actually built it, and then check their website to see if an updated driver is available.
As with any hardware, please remember that Microsoft is at the mercy of the manufacturer for the proper driver software for the equipment. If Lexmark doesn't provide it, there really isn't much Microsoft can do.
I still would provide feedback to MS regarding each of these products as soon as you can. The sooner MS knows about the issue, the sooner they can get a message to the hardware company requesting a driver.
Don't be discouraged, Dustin. It's only a beta and far from complete.
Good Luck!

I emailed CNet and all the companies turns out that CNet.com didn't make the ethernet card but a differnt Cnet all together

As far as your Santa Cruz sound card, you are out of luck on that on. I have one also and it is not working. Also according to Turtle Beach web site at http://support.turtlebeach.com/site/support/discont.asp , it is a discontinued product. As such there will not be any new drivers for it. I am just going to wait until Vista comes out, before I get another sound card and video card.
